This ride is on the same date we lost Ash , we will be riding to Kilcoy RSL for lunch and a 🍺 at his bar ‘The Ashley Birt Memorial Bar’

It is with deep regret the Australian Defence Force confirms that Corporal Ashley Birt was killed on operations in Afghanistan on 29th October 2011.

Corporal Ashley Birt 22, was killed in operations in Afghanistan when a rogue Afghan army sergeant opened fire on a parade at Shah Wali Kot base in Kandahar province.

This year marks the 12th Anniversary of Ashes Death 😟
